For those interested in leading the way, acquiring the skills you need starts with the right education.
Help solve tomorrow’s healthcare challenges
The mission of the DHA program is to prepare health professionals to become innovative leaders who can solve complex problems within the healthcare industry. This practice-based program is designed to prepare leaders for mid to senior executive-level positions in the private and public sectors by enhancing knowledge and competencies appropriate to a wide variety of leadership roles. Throughout the curriculum, students utilize interprofessional practices to enhance strategic planning, healthcare management theory and approaches and make evidence-based decisions for optimal organizational performance within healthcare organizations.
Our applied program helps you to develop the highly specialized skills needed to drive change and solve problems within healthcare organizations. Not only will you utilize curriculum that’s designed by experienced healthcare professionals, you’ll have an interprofessional educational experience designed to facilitate teamwork and interdisciplinary collaboration. This is considered to be the leading approach to healthcare today. And, while the Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education (CAHME) does not offer accreditation for doctoral programs, this program was intentionally developed to align with their high standards for graduate programs and utilizes the National Center for Health Care Leadership (NCHL) competency model.
As a student, you’ll learn how to create administrative strategies, make evidence-based decisions, understand the impact and import of health policy, and navigate the legal and ethical issues that are unique to healthcare.
